WORKSHOP
Beating away in the basement of Sonkai is the heart of our business: our workshop. This is where all your handmade and commissioned work is created; stones set and repairs carried out. We do not subcontract our work to 3rd parties other than to the Assay Office for hallmarking. All our work is done on the premises by Craig.
The benefit of our on-site workshop is that you are guaranteed to have a fully qualified, expert goldsmith carrying out your work. You get to speak with Craig personally. We can explain what is required and what is being done leaving no room for misunderstandings. When we create your bespoke commission you can choose to see it during the making process to ensure it is exactly how you want it to be: no mistakes and no surprises - just a perfect, beautiful piece of jewellery to last you a lifetime, complete with its own birth certificate and advice on care and insurance.
We are often able to carry out same day repairs while you are in the city. If you travel a long way, have difficulty getting around, or you are on a tight schedule – please call us before coming in to request our same-day service. Most general repairs and ring sizing, for example, can be done within the hour.
