The heart of the business at Sonkai is the workshop.
This is where all your handmade and commissioned work is created, where stones are set and repairs carried out.
We do not subcontract any work to third parties other than hand-engraving. All the work is done on the premises by Craig.
The benefit of the on-site workshop is that not only are you guaranteed to have a fully qualified, expert goldsmith carrying out your work but because nothing is posted away we can offer competitive pricing along with excellent security and peace of mind.
You may speak with Craig personally and he can explain what is required, what he recommends doing and answer any questions you have directly, which leaves minimal room for any misunderstandings.
When we create your bespoke commission you can choose to see it during the making process to ensure it is exactly how you want it to be: no mistakes and no surprises, just a beautiful piece of jewellery complete with advice of care, insurance and a annual free of charge check and cleaning service.
We are often able to carry out same day repairs while you are in the city.
If you travel a long way, have difficulty getting around, or you are on a tight schedule, please call us before coming in to request our same-day service.
Most general repairs and ring sizing, for example, can be done within the hour.
